Commercial Underwriter

What you’ll need to have:

  • 2 to 4 years related Commercial Underwriting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree – Required
  • Completion of CPCU, AINS, AIC, a PLUS

What you’ll do:

  • Underwrite, quote, rate, renew and monitor Commercial lines of business
  • Determine the degree of risk, review loss history of policyholders
  • Evaluate, accept, modify, reject, cancel and/or non-renew applications or exciting policies
  • Initiate inspections and field audits and provide underwriting assistance to agency force
  • Handle all duties associated with treaty exception requests
