Underwriter Trainee

If you love researching, being creative, finding and determining the level of risk in our day-to-day lives, this is the career for you.

What you’ll need to have:

  • 1 to 2 years Property & Casualty Underwriting
  • Bachelor’s degree – Preferred

What you’ll do:

  • Observe Underwriters execute management and maintenance of accounts
  • Examine documents, forms, reports and maps to determine degree of risk
  • Communicate with Agents to obtain greater information, quote rates, and explanation of company policies
  • Conduct account reviews with assistance from Underwriters
  • Attend training sessions to further knowledge in field of insurance and underwriting
  • Review and study underwriting manual, policy contracts and procedures to increase skillset in field
