The Who’s Who in Agriculture program is a collaboration with the Denver Business Journal. Each year, the New Horizon Award is given to one state in recognition of a new and innovative program. As part of its 100th-year celebration, Colorado Farm Bureau partnered with the Denver Business Journal and created a first-of-its-kind awards recognition program for the food and agriculture industry.

More About the Who’s Who in Agriculture Program

The Who’s Who in Agriculture (WWIA) program recognized 41 leaders in the Colorado food and agriculture industry. The program highlighted their own personal achievements as well as the importance and achievements of the broader food and agriculture industry.  The program has helped raise awareness of the Colorado Farm Bureau and the industry as a whole. Therefore, elevating the industry’s standing within the broader business community. The Who’s Who in Agriculture program is one of the first of its kind across the nation.

The WWIA list was published in a DBJ Special Section and honorees were recognized at an event in Denver with over 250 people. The event featured high-level speakers including former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack. Further, the program recognized the importance of the state’s second-largest industry, showcasing it to the broader Denver business community; a group that may not typically give much thought to its contributions to the state. Because of the success with the initial celebration, Colorado Farm Bureau has begun working on the program for year two.

Colorado Farm Bureau is excited to have received this recognition over the other wonderful entries for the New Horizon Award.
