Local Service for Over 75 Years
Back in the 1940’s and 50’s, it was very difficult for farmers and ranchers to get insurance. To solve the problem, members of Colorado Farm Bureau® got together and created an insurance company.
Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Casualty Co. was established in 1950.
Over the years, the Company has grown into a full-service provider of affordable auto, home and life insurance products and services—not just for farmers, but for all of Colorado.
On July 1, 2019, Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. took another important step in providing excellent service to our customers. The Company demutualized and became Colorado Farm Bureau® Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Farm Bureau® Casualty Insurance Company (SFBCIC), a company that is ranked in the top 100 property and casualty insurance companies in the United States. This important transaction created an exciting opportunity to help ensure the continuity of the Company’s Colorado-focused property and casualty insurance business for our policyholders now and into the future.
